Reading: Creighton, Peggy Milam (2015) School Library Infographics: How to Create Them, Why to Use Them

  • “Although infographics have been used in print media for years, they have more recently flooded social media because they can rapidly dispense ideas and information visually.”

  • “The more compelling the data, the more important it is to choose colours and fonts with some key design details in mind. Most graphic artists will tell you that colour is a very critical, if not the most critical, component of the infographic, aside from the data.”

  • “perfection is not the objective in creating infographics in the first place. You do, of course, want to communicate a message with your data. But even if the display is less than perfect, you can still achieve your goal.”
